Through My Shades: I Am My Worst Critic
I am my worst critic. I look at my life through a magnifying glass, seeing past every accomplishment and pointing out what went wrong or what could have been tweaked. Anxiety and stress is an understatement of what sometimes I put myself through. I know my potential and what I can accomplish and I cannot help but want those things now. The fashion industry is cut throat.
As a hard worker I push myself because I know where I want to be and where I personally feel I deserve to be in the industry only to be sometimes overlooked. Moving here from Arkansas I have been extremely blessed and fortunate to have broke into an industry that is so closed. However, my drive and passion often tears me inside of where I am and where I want to be. The struggle and balance of patience and drive sometimes is overwhelming. Reminding myself of this key element is esential.

I just anonymously commented on your most recent post about going to the ER! I have to comment on this one, too. You sound EXACTLY like me. I'm in the entertainment business! You can do it gorgeous. Don't believe the negative voices and you're golden. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! :) Every encouraging word helps ;)
DeleteThe second photo = simply gorgeous. I love your go-getter mentality and intuitive posts. Keep up the good work:-)
ReplyDeleteThank you! That was my favorite pic as well! :)
DeleteKeep up the good work. I only know the fashion industry from watching tv (EVERY reality show relating to fashion, to be exact), and yes, they show the "other" side of what the world really is.
ReplyDeleteLove your tenacity.
Thanks Dee Dee! Hope you keep checking out the blog! :)
