Through My Shades: BAM's DanceAfrica 2013 Bazaar

BAM's DanceAfrica 2013 Bazaar

This Memorial weekend,  I was able to participate in BAM's DanceAfrica 2013 Bazaar.  Over 300 vendors from around the world converged on the streets surrounding BAM.  BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) is a multi-arts center located in Brooklyn, New York.  For more than 150 years, BAM has been the home for adventurous artists, audiences, and ideas—engaging both global and local communities.

With world-renowned programming in theater, dance, music, opera, film, and much more, BAM showcases the work of emerging artists and innovative modern masters. This experience was amazing inside and out.  From the African food to the interaction with vendors from all over, the African culture was definitely embracing, educational and enjoyable.

Thanks to Artfully Urban for such an amazing jacket that was the highlight of my day!
